Lori McCormick

Lori transitioned from the medical device industry in 2006 to pursue her passion for helping youth in college admissions. With experience in undergraduate transfer admissions, university career centers, and community organizations, she now excels in independent college counseling. She has guided hundreds of high school and transfer students through the college application process with a philosophy of providing personalized support for academic, vocational, and personal success.
Lori holds a Master's in Psychology & Career Counseling from Antioch University and a Bachelor's in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara. Lori is a member of HECA, IECA, NACAC, and WACAC. Check out her blog, "Thinking About College," in the Palo Alto Weekly's online edition.

Marc Thompson

Marc transitioned from a high-tech financial services career to follow his passion for helping others achieve their best lives. As a former part-time application reader for Stanford University's Undergraduate Admissions Office, he utilized his insights to mentor high school seniors in crafting college application essays through a non-profit program for over a decade. Leveraging his experience in counseling staff as an engineering manager, Marc is now training to become a professional life coach.

Marc holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology & Society from Stanford, a College Counseling certificate from UC San Diego Extension, and a professional life coach certification from Impact Coaching Academy. He is a member of NACAC and WACAC.

Rebecca Bjorklund

Rebecca holds a Master’s Degree and a PPS credential in Educational Counseling from San Jose State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Education from Occidental College. She began her career as a campus recruiter for McKinsey & Company, planning and executing recruiting strategies for the Bay Area and West Coast offices.

Rebecca then served as a Career Counselor and Assistant Director at Stanford University, followed by her role as Senior Assistant Director and Manager of Employer Relations at NYU’s Wasserman Career Development Center. Most recently, she worked on the Human Resources team at PlayStation as a University Recruiter.
